Exhaust Powervalve . . . WBBrian Designed
Topic: So, what is a powervalve and what is it supposed to do?
What Does It Do?
The idea behind a powervalve is to provide a little resistance to the exhaust flow - and give a small performance increase. They make them for lots of various pwc's and motorcycles and you can find them in many of the aftermarket catalogues.
What Does It Look Like and How Is It Installed?
For wetbikes, Brian came up with the idea to have one made (thanks to Bob the machinist) and weld it onto the bottom of the last exhaust tube. Here's a few pics.
Ultimately, the powervalve was designed as part of a package which included velocity stacks, the powervalve, and a modified exhaust diffuser and tall can.
