Topic: Stators - what's the difference between the two?
Couple of things . . . first one is the diameter (60hp is bigger). Secondly, the 60hp has a 3rd coil on it that gets a signal off of the "throat" of the flywheel to generate a pulse. Finally, the 60hp may have 2 timing marks (depending on year) - one for standard timing, and 1 for advanced.
